Shimano XT & Deore Disc Brake Pads
A pair of disc brake pads need to be durable, wear-resistant, and long-lasting. At Corki Cycles we know there is a science to disc brake pads. The pads you need depend on the type of riding, the elements, your weight, how often you ride, and brand compatibility. At Corki Cycles we make the best Shimano disc brake pads for your bike and style of riding. Enjoy a short break-in period for more responsive braking.
For the Shimano Deore and XT disc brake pads, we offer 4 different materials. These are resin/organic, semi-metallic, multi-metallic, and sintered disc brake pads.
The Corki Cycles Shimano XT & Deore disc brake pads are the perfect thickness for greater longevity and wear resistance.
Our pair of Corki Cycles disc brake pads are compatible with: Shimano XT Br-M8000, M785, XTR, M9000, M9020, M987, M988, M985, SLX, M7000, M675, M666, Deore M615, RS785, R785, CX75, R515, R315, R317, R517, and Alfine S700.
Always check Shimano’s specific installation guide for your disc brake caliper.
To install remove your front and rear wheel. Remove the old, worn brake pads from the front and rear calipers. Check your pistons and do a caliper health check first. Check the quality of the brake cable or hydraulic hose before installing the new disc brake pads. Using a flat tool push the pistons back ready to install the new pads. Insert the new brake pads correctly and secure them inside the caliper with the spring and pin.
Re-attach your wheel and check the disc rotor positioning. Make sure there is no friction with the new brake pads when the brakes are not in use. If there is some friction or the disc rotor is hard to move you may need to file the pads very slightly. Alternatively, you can wait after a few rides for this to wear down.
At Corki Cycles we believe in buying bicycle components that are strong and built for all styles of riding. Nevertheless, as you push the limits of your riding, components inevitably break or are affected by general wear and tear. With every set of disc brake pads, you receive a 6-month limited warranty. We also offer a component replacement scheme where we provide a discount on your new bicycle component. Send our friendly customer service a message for further information.
